Chap Goh Meh – Celebrating the Fifteenth Night of the Lunar New Year

📅 5 February 2023

On this day, Chap Goh Meh — the fifteenth night of the Lunar New Year — marks the grand finale of the 15-day celebration period. In Malaysia, the festival is warmly celebrated by the Chinese community and is known in the Hokkien dialect as “Chap Goh Meh,” which literally means “the fifteenth night.”

Traditionally, this day is a time for family reunion dinners, expressions of gratitude, and well-wishes for continued blessings in the year ahead. It's also a meaningful time for couples to reaffirm their bonds and for singles, a hopeful moment in search of love—often symbolized by the charming tradition of tossing mandarin oranges into rivers.

At Otter International Sdn Bhd and Woodkare (M) Sdn Bhd, we join in the spirit of the celebration and extend our heartfelt wishes to all who observe this beautiful occasion.

May your Chap Goh Meh be filled with joy, warmth, and meaningful connections. Here's to a year of prosperity, good health, and happiness!

Happy Chap Goh Meh! 🎉🌕🍊
